Formed in 2005 by childhood friends Hunter Perrin and Paul
Beebe, Thunderado is a rock and roll trio with a sound inspired by the
Gulf Coast and the California desert. Hunter comes from a musical
family and grew up listening
to
outlaw country and vinyl-era ZZ Top while attending conservatory for
classical guitar. His style and versatility have earned him a
place
in
John Fogerty's current
band. Also from a musical family, Paul is the consummate working
musician: playing bass, drums, and singing in numerous bands all over
Texas,
and recording other regional musicians.
Although
the boys come from different musical backgrounds, they discovered a
common love of juke joint rock and noir mystery. Their sound is
well-traveled and evocative, combining influences of western swing,
rockabilly, surf, and Tex-Czech dancehall to create Thunderado's own
brand of
desert rock.
